How Did You Discover Your Passion for Interior Design?
I discovered my passion for interior design after my husband and I embarked on a complete renovation of our own home.
After committing to the project, we realized our budget did not allow for a professional interior designed, so I took on the role myself. Even without using a professional designer, I told my husband I did not want to settle for anything less than a “designer home”.
I worked day in and day out to educate myself on design. And in the process, I fell in love with the endless possibilities and the notion that I could make my home truly unique!
How Would You Describe Your Go-To Style?
I don’t follow one particular style, per say, but a mix of styles: modern, coastal, farmhouse, and art deco. You’ll find a little influence of each in my designs. Oftentimes, I’ll even mix elements of the various styles to create a lil’ something special.
If I had to sum it up, I’d say the overall “vibe” of my designs is classy, sophisticated, and fun.
What Kind of Projects Do You Work On?
Although, I’m currently working to grow my portfolio, most of my design work will be performed in conjunction with renovating properties for an investment portfolio, owned and managed jointly by my husband and I.
Because we are a profit-seeking business, it’s vital that my designs are cost-effective and within budget. But even though I need to adhere to a strict budget, creating unique spaces that people want to live in is still my top priority when it comes to my designs.

What's With the Name "Wicked Chic Designs"?
The name for this blog is really an ode to my life in many ways.
As I mentioned, I grew up right outside of Boston. Us Bostonians have a reputation (personally I don’t find this to be true) of using the word “Wicked” regularly in speech. “Chic” is a nod to my maiden name. And lastly, “Designs” is what this blog is all about! Hence, the name of this blog: Wicked Chic Designs!
What Can I Expect From The Wicked Chic Designs Blog?
I created this blog to teach others how to create incredible spaces on a budget. Not only will I share photos of my designs that you can use for inspiration, but I’ll also write about my favorite design tips and trends.
